Retirement in Thailand

Thailand is a wonderful place to retire. The weather is mild year round and there are a great many things to see and do. Thailand has many national parks to explore, majestic mountains and beautiful beaches. Cosmopolitan Bangkok has world class shopping centres and a modern infrastructure, all the major cities have excellent medical facilities. The local food is delicious and inexpensive, there are international restaurants of the highest calibre. Visas

Anyone of fifty or over may obtain a ‘retirement’ visa extension allowing the holder to stay a for a year without the need for visa runs. At the end of the year you can get an extension from one of the immigration offices without having to leave the country.

Where in Thailand

Chiang Mai is a quiet city in the North of Thailand very popular with retirees. The Southern islands such as Koh Samui and Phuket have beautiful beaches and a laid back lifestyle. The bustling cities of Bangkok and Pattaya offer a wide range activities and entertainment.
